Mary Hellmich is an Consultant at adelphi in the areas of international climate policy and transatlantic climate cooperation. She is convinced that ambitious climate policies on both sides of the Atlantic are crucial to prevent irreversible climate change. In her projects, she works to overcome political and societal challenges of the energy transition and to promote cooperation between Germany, Canada and the United States of America on climate and energy policy.
“Without robust climate policies in the historically most emissions-intensive countries, the world will not be able to combat climate change in time. Anything that helps to create ambitious transatlantic climate legislation, therefore, is a cause worth pursuing. At adelphi, I’m able to work towards this goal.”
