Scenarios on climate change and international security for island states

The European Union aims at integrating the implications of climate change for security in its external policies. For this purpose, the EU commissioned adelphi to develop scenarios on potential implications of climate change for regional security.

adelphi produced a study on the Indian-Ocean Pacific Island states. The results were integrated in the final report of the European Commission and Council Secretariat in late 2009 and provide policy recommendations for preventive measures in the region.
