Formulating the final declaration of the Bishkek Global Mountain Summit

The Bishkek Global Mountain Summit in Kyrgyzstan's capital was the final high level event in the International Year of the Mountains. adelphi's Executive Director Alexander Carius had been asked by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation to serve as a member of the Swiss Delegation to the Global Mountain Summit. He assisted in the formulation of the "platform document" as the final declaration of the Global Mountain Summit and prepared and conducted a panel discussion on "Natural Resource Management and conflict transformation in mountain regions".
