Clearing House "Environment, Conflict, and Cooperation Platform" – ECC 2.0

The Environment, Conflict and Cooperation (ECC) website functions as a clearing house and platform to exchange information on environment, conflict, and cooperation. It contributes to the implementation of the action plan on civil crisis prevention adopted by the German Government in 2004. It also aims to foster sustainable peace by creating networks among stakeholders from the development, economic, environment, foreign, and security communities worldwide.

The website is continuously being developed and posts comments and news on political initiatives, documents, or institutions relevant to this topic such as water cooperation, conflict resources, and climate and livelihood security. ECC platform's regular newsletter provides information on publications, events, and initiatives. The platform will be extended until 2011 to include a blog on environment, conflict and cooperation as well as selected country profiles on the environmental security policies.
