In this project commissioned by the European Space Agency, adelphi supports the development of innovative solutions for civil Earth Observation to improve local level risk assessments in fragile countries.
The project will produce a set of indicators and AI-tools to support strategic and operational decisions of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD), European Investment Bank, Asian Development Bank, and African Development Bank.
The consortium, led by e-GEOS, includes adelphi, Cherrydata, German Aerospace Center (DLR), Hensoldt Analytics, Janes and MindEarth.
The project aims to strengthen data availability through the development of Geoinformation and Open Source Intelligence solutions collecting and processing information at local levels, to inform strategic and operational decisions. Tools developed in this project shall permit data acquisition in areas where access to reliable information from other sources may be limited or difficult.
The project combines data from Earth Observation (EO), Open Source Intelligence (OSint), and ancillary data sources. International organisations will benefit frominnovative indicators and AUI-powered tools for more granular and timely assessment of fragility and resilience at the subnational level.
adelphi supports the consortium with its methodological and subject matter expertise, guiding and contributing to data modelling and analysis. Adelphi further facilitates between stakeholders/data users and technical partners to ensure developed tools are fit for purpose.
